Aileen was the most amazing person! Such dynamic leader always so graceful and well spoken. She as my mentor since 1996. I met her after 4th International Women's Conference in Beijing , China. we met at first convening post conference in San Francisco. She was one of the dynamic leaders localizing an international movement. AS an integral part of WIN Women's Intercultural Network and statewide convening through CAWA for several decades

She always inspired everyone to be their best to give their all. She set a high bar and created levels of broad based thoughts and actions. She was so dearly loved by everyone that had opportunity to meet her or hear her speak. Her voice, her heart her leadership will be so greatly missed. Love and stardust are only two things that are forever. Love forever sweet Aileen.

Black Women Organized for Political Action (BWOPA) will forever cherish the and appreciate the trailblazing efforts of one of our 13 co-founders. Aileen was truly a courageous, visionary servant leader. Her life touched many and I am personally honored and pleased to have been one of many whose life she touched. Thank you for the many contributions you made in the struggle and fight for women's rights.

Aileen was a pioneer, fearless and committed. We are so honored to have spent time with her in San Francisco and hope that others will find a way to carry on her work, especially now.

Aileen- an innovator, instigator, positive change agent, and friend.
We met in San Francisco in the late 1960s when you welcomed me into the federal government. The tree floral arrangement at your Memorial reminded me of the trees you gave as a wedding present 40 years ago. You provided direction when our Steering Comm. for a new community entity was in its formative stages, prior to our chartering, and acceptance of the unknown word "diaspora" - and now MOAD is a reality.
Thank you for your friendship and professional involvement, always making the world a better place for everyone.

Aileen was an amazing woman that I had the honor to meet her through her feminist activist efforts in community. I am very thankful to receive the email leading me to this site.

While I haven't seen Aileen in years, I will sorely miss her spirit. She was a bright light and never stopped her work developing strategies to level the playing field for women. She was gracious and kind. We need her spirit now more than ever when we face the battle of our lives to defeat racism, sexism and biotry of any kind. Aileen, you will never be forgotten. Your tireless efforts remain and inspire us to RESIST.
