Rosauro Alix Toledo passed peacefully at the age of 91 on January 14, 2025. 
Rosauro was born on December 22, 1933 in Noveleta, Cavite, Philippines. He was known to his relatives as “Boy” and to close friends as “Alix”.  Rosauro is the youngest of six children (3 brothers and 2 sisters).  His parents were Sotero Toledo and Simona Alix Chavez.  His siblings (all deceased) included Lilieth, Fortunato, Onorio, Rosalia and Greg.
Rosauro is survived by his cherished wife of 67 years, Rosario Abadilla Toledo and their four children Roxanne DeGuzman (Enrico), Rodney (Maritess), Rochelle and Royce (Maria), 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren with #5 due this spring. 
After graduating from high school in 1950, Rosauro, who excelled in Mathematics, attended Mapua University in Manila with the aspiration of becoming a Civil Engineer.  However, after 3 years, life’s plans changed and he enlisted in the US Navy in September 1953.  He extended his military commitment by enlisting five more times for a total of 20 years, 9 months & 28 days. His awards included:  National Defense Service Medal (2x), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal Korea, Vietnam Armed Forces Meritorious Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Navy Unit Commendation-Good Conduct Medal (5x).
After retiring from the Navy in 1974, Rosauro was then employed with the US Postal Service for the next 27 years. Here he made many life-long friends.  Another big dream of his was to become an elementary school crossing guard.  This dream was fulfilled from 2003-2009.  During these six years “Alix” received countless awards from the school’s PTA and various community organizations.  The principals, teachers, parents and students loved and adored him.  Alix would always lose count on how many student’s birthday parties he’d been invited to!
Rosauro was devoted to perform the duties of Hospitality Minister at his church in Yorba Linda.  He was an active participant up to age 87.
