Ronald David Rose was born January 20, 1937, in Orange, California and went to be with his Savior on May 25, 2026, also in Orange, California.  As a child, he and his family lived in various places across the country, but he ultimately graduated high school in New Bern, North Carolina.  After moving back to Orange County, CA, he attended Santa Ana College and worked for the Santa Ana Recreation Department where he met his wife of 60 years, Beverly Mitchell. Ron served proudly in the California Army National Guard from 1959 to 1967.  He began teaching in Santa Ana Unified School District in 1962 and enjoyed a fulfilling career of 35 years, retiring in 1997.  He had a passion for teaching young people and had a way of relating to them.  While teaching, he earned his Master of Arts in Education from Chapman College (now University).  Ron had many interests and hobbies throughout his life, including camping, fishing, golf, bowling, woodworking, amateur radio, cruising, traveling the world, and many others.  Through these he met many dear friends whom he cherished very much.  His faith in Christ was important to him, and he had many lifelong friends whom he met at church.  He taught his children the value of hard work, the value of helping others, and the value of taking time to play.  He loved his grandchildren dearly and played a large part in their lives.  He enjoyed and looked forward to each one’s turn to spend “their week” with him and Beverly each summer, as they went camping, had dress-up tea parties and a host of other activities.  Ron was preceded in death by his wife Beverly (Mitchell) Rose; his brothers William Tibbets, Sr., and Don Tibbetts, Sr., as well as his sister Susan (Rose) Gregory.  He is survived by his beautiful big sister Joann (Tibbets) Foster and her husband Lloyd Foster, sister-in-law Mary Kay Tibbetts; children Randal Rose and Karen (Rose) Aldridge; their spouses Jennie (Harrison) Rose and Gary Aldridge; grandchildren Stacie Rose, AJ (Rose) & Andrew Sickler, and Brandon Aldridge; many nephews & nieces; and countless dear friends.
