Richard Dean Dischner passed away September 20, 2020 in Cedar Glen, CA. He is survived by his sons Ryan and Sean, brothers Bob and Ken as well as grandchildren, cousins, nephews and nieces.
One of five brothers, he was born on December 7, 1954 in Orange, CA to Robert and Hilda Dischner (both deceased). Richard was graduate of Santa Ana High, attended Santa Ana College and UCLA and earned a bachelor’s degree at UC Riverside. After working in promotion and public relations, in later years he followed many pursuits drawing upon his multiple talents and engaging personality.
Richard loved his family and was a loyal friend to many. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed movies but his main passions were music and attending rock concerts (with the ticket stubs to prove it). An outstanding multi-sport athlete in his younger years, Richard (aka “Jake”) was best known for his wonderful (some say warped) sense of humor. He was known to “light up” every room he walked into. His family and friends will forever hold his memory dear….we’ll all miss you, Jake…
