Ramon Carlos Perez, 89, of Fountain Valley, California, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025.  Born in Puerto Rico to Ramon Perez Carmona and Dolores Torres Mislan on December 30, 1935, Ramon lived a full and meaningful life rooted in faith, family, friends, and hard work.
Ramon was a devoted and loving husband and proud and supportive father and grandfather.  He is survived by his wife, Palma, his children Ramon Jr., Vanessa, and Maria and his grandchildren Sarah and Sandra Ragle and Ryan, Ameila and Marissa Perez.  He cherished his grandchildren who brought him great joy and whom he loved deeply.
A retired Aerospace Engineer, Ramon had dedicated his career to a field in which he took great pride.  One of his biggest accomplishments in the workforce was being involved as a dynamics engineering specialist on the Space Shuttle program.  
Outside of work, he was a quiet, thoughtful man with many passions. A lifelong and devout Roman Catholic, he was guided by a strong, spiritual foundation. He loved Puerto Rican food, salsa dancing, playing the guitar, tracking his mutual funds and stocks by hand long before the internet, and cheering for his favorite baseball team, the Angels. He enjoyed watching the Olympics and television shows like NCIS and JAG as well as spending time in the garden, fixing cars, staying handy around the home, and caring for animals.  His gentle, steady presence and practical wisdom touched everyone who knew him.  He was always available to lend any assistance he could whether that be helping someone with finances, taxes, homework or even big projects.  That engineering mind always found a better way to design something.  
Ramon was a truly great man whose influence will forever be felt by his family who misses him dearly.  His passing leaves and unfillable hole in hearts of all who are blessed to have known and loved him.  
Ramon’s life will be honored at a funeral service on Wednesday, December 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1015 Baker St., Costa Mesa, CA 92626.
