Nancy Kay Moore Obituary
Nancy Kay Moore was born in Paterson, New Jersey on February 28, 1933, to Anita and George Stern and grew up with her
brother Richard. The family moved to Los Angeles, California, and the kids went to school where Nancy dreamt of being an
actress. After high school she went to Secretarial School and got a job at 20th Century Fox. Richard’s best friend was Edward Moore, and Nancy knew immediately he was the “one,” even though at the time she was “Richard’s annoying little sister.”
They married on September 18, 1954 and two years later their daughter Terri was born. Nancy loved being a stay-at-home mom.
They moved to Orange, California, when Terri was seven and the family called it their “forever home.”
Terri married her high school soulmate, Derek and gave Nancy three wonderful grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon and Blake
of whom she loved spending time with.
Nancy loved ballet and taking classes, classic movies, 60’s music such as the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. She also loved water skiing (Ed named his boat after her), going to church, and shopping at flea markets and antique malls with Terri and Brittany. She loved all animals, especially her three kitties and donated generously to animal charities. She joined the Christian Science Church while in her twenties and loved teaching Sunday School (her class was always filled with students). Nancy loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law, and best friend. She was unselfish, kind, loving, thoughtful and she will be deeply missed. But we know she is with God and all those that have passed before her, expressing Love, kindness, and harmony to all she meets.
