Mark Elwood Lenear Obituary
Mark Elwood Lenear was born in Middletown, Ohio on November 23, 1955 to the late Merritt M. Lenear and Patricia E. Day. He was raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana with his late sisters Deborah Gaines and Natalie Bowen. He graduated from South Side High School in Fort Wayne, obtained a bachelor's degree from Indiana State University and a master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati.
Mark met his wife Vanessa at college in 1975 and were married in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1983. Their son Wesley Martin was born in 1990. Mark’s professional career consisted of being a financial analyst, product brand manager, and housing developer in Cincinnati.
As a child Mark attended Union Baptist Church in Fort Wayne and as an adult he continued to worship God and became a deacon at Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church in Woodlawn, OH.
Mark and Vanessa recently moved to Santa Ana, California to be closer to their son and his family. God allowed Mark the opportunity to make this last journey before being called home to Glory. He now rests among the best.
Deacon Mark Lenear is survived by his wife, Vanessa; son Wesley, daughter-in-law Kayla, grandson Jean Marc; aunt Gay Henderson and a host of nephews and nieces, cousins and friends. He will truly be missed.
