Marilyn Frick-Paul was born August 24, 1936 in Orange, Ca. to Walter Frick of Orange, Ca. and Lila Weertz-Frick of Santa Rosa, Ca. Marilyn is survived by her three children, three grandchildren, and her sister. Marilyn attended St. John’s Elementary School, Orange High School; where she was the valedictorian, and USC; graduating magna cum laude. Marilyn married her high school sweetheart, Robert (Bob) Paul in 1958. The two of them settled in Orange and were married for over 60 years. She began her career by teaching physical education in the Anaheim School District. She left teaching to raise her children and manage multiple family businesses including Mission Ice and Bob & Jean’s restaurant. She later worked at St. Paul’s Lutheran School as the daycare director, where she eventually retired. During their retirement, Marilyn and Bob traveled to Alaska, the Caribbean, and Europe. Robert preceded Marilyn in death, August of 2021. Marilyn was an active member at St. Paul’s, an avid reader, and loved watching sports, especially her USC Trojans. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved playing cards with her friends. Marilyn will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
