Maria Santa Cornejo

Loving Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Greatgrandmother, Aunt, and Friend passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021.

Santa, as she was known to everybody, was born in Soyapango, San Salvador, El Salvador on November 1st, 1933, to Pablo Gutiérrez and Lucila Igarza and was the eldest of five children. She graduated from trade school in the early 50’s and married Rene S. Cornejo at a young age of nineteen. She had seven children. 

Santa is survived by five of her seven children, Raul, Carlos, Nelson, María and Patricia, by her nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. 

Santa was a very devoted christian, woman of God. She loved to read her Bible early in the mornings on her rocking chair. She was always a warrior and a very courageous woman. She loved cooking, spoiling her grandkids and always looking out after peoples needs. She will be deeply missed by all her family, friends and all the people who knew her.
