Mari Imuta Burnette

Mari Burnette was granted her angel wings at her home in Montebello, CA on January 21, 2023.  Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends.

She blessed the earth with her soft and gentle presence on September 7, 1962 as the second daughter to Tadatoshi and Kikuyo Imuta, first in Kumamoto, Japan until her final home in Montebello, CA, USA.

Mari is survived by her loving and adoring husband of 28 1/2 years, John Burnette; her 90-year old mother, Kikuyo Imuta; sisters Yuri Imuta Lee, Mitsuko Hayakawa & Ritsuko Imuta; brothers-in-law Dan Lee, Takahiro Hayakawa, Kanji Tsuchida; nephews and nieces Andrew Kazunari Imuta Lee, Lumi Imuta Hayakawa, Maki Hayakawa and Elis Go Hayakawa, Elina and Mia Tsuchida.

Mari was a Cast Member at the Disneyland resort for 18 years.  She loved working there at different locations in the merchandise / stores at DCA.  She made a lot of friends with her fellow Cast Members over the years.  She will be missed by them as well as her family and friends outside the resort.
