Margaret Esposito Obituary

Margaret Mcquade Esposito

2/6/1935- 5/24/21

Margaret Mcquade Esposito, beloved wee Scottish lass, passed away May 24, 2021 surrounded by family who loved her endlessly. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and courageously ventured to the United States via a three day boat journey at age 19 to become an Au-pair. She took tremendous pride in her Scottish heritage and history. Soon after her transatlantic journey, she met the love of her life, Tony Esposito, at a church dance. He took one look at her and said, “that is the girl I am leaving this dance with and the one I am going to marry.” Together, they were married 62 wonderful years and created a family of 5 children, 8 grandchildren, and expectant future great grandchildren. While raising her own children, Margaret spent time caring for babies in the NICU as a nurse. She loved a good cup of hot tea, even on the hottest day, and certainly wouldn’t pass up taking it with “something sweet for eatin’.” She loved to laugh, wear vibrant cable knit sweaters with coordinating purses, attend the sports games of her grandchildren, and wear her sunglasses to the beach. Most of all, she loved spending time with her loved ones.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Tony Esposito, along with her brother Tony. Her children include Karen (Bob), Tony (Molly), Michele (Tommy), Johnny (Tammy), and Linda. Grandchildren who loved her include Kyle, Taryn, Corey, Taylor, Anthony, Olivia, Adriana, and Taliana. She is preceded in death by her father John, mother Margaret, and brothers Connie and Tommy.

A Scottish Blessing:

These things, I’ll warmly wish to you:

Someone to love, some work to do,

A bit o’ sun, a bit o’ cheer,

And a guardian angel always near.

Our forever guardian angel, she will be.
