Manuel “Manny” Lee Bernal, 81, passed away peacefully in his home, with his family by his side on July 25, 2024 in Anaheim, CA.
He is survived by his children, Cindy Parks (Tim), Vince Bernal, Alice Bernal; brother, Juan Bernal (Virginia) and many other family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife Jean and sister Edna.
He was born on April 28, 1943 in Wagon Mound, New Mexico to Lee Bernal and Raquel Salazar.  He moved to California in 1960 and attended Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance.  He later earned an AA degree from El Camino College in Torrance, CA.
Manny retired in 1999 after an over 30 year career as a CAD-CAM Technician in the Aerospace Industry.  
In 1981, he married Jean Norris. They moved to Glendale, Arizona in 1999 where they lived for approximately twenty years. They had a series of dogs, whom they loved and pampered.  They were married for 38 years until Jean passed away in November 2019.
He planned and enjoyed many trips with his children and family including camping, snow skiing, and family reunions in New Mexico.
He was very athletic and enjoyed many activities including softball, golf, ping-pong, hiking, snow skiing, and camping.  He continued to enjoy walking and any kind of exercise that he was able to partake in even until the final months of his life. 
He could be perceived as more on the serious side but once you got to know him you would get to see his incredible sense of humor which would often come out when you least expect it even until his last days.
