Lydia Ruiz Obituary
Lydia Ruiz, 70, of Garden Grove, California, passed away on March 7, 2026, after a courageous battle with kidney cancer. Born May 9, 1955, in Santa Ana, California, Lydia lived a life defined by love, selflessness, and an unwavering devotion to the people she held dear.
Lydia was many things to many people: a wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She married the love of her life, Eliazer Ruiz, and together they built a home filled with warmth and care. Motherhood was one of her greatest joys; she poured herself into raising her children and later cherished her grandchildren with that same tender love.
Anyone who knew Lydia knew she was one of the most selfless and forgiving souls. She had a way of putting everyone else first, always considering the needs of others before her own.
Deeply devoted to her faith, Lydia was an active member of Saint Columban Catholic Church, where she found community, purpose, and spiritual strength. Her relationship with God was the foundation of everything she did, and she now rests peacefully in His eternal care.
She is survived by her loving husband, Eliazer Ruiz; her daughters, Jessica and Elsa; her son, Angel; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
