Lori Rhea Obituary

Lori was born on May 6th, 1966 to James and Dorinda Wise. She grew up in La Habra, California. She is survived by her Mother Dorinda, her brother Jay Wise, her daughter Nichole Harpe and her Husband Blaine Rhea.

Lori was extremely proud of her daughter Nichole and always expressed how special their deep talks about life were. She never took for granted the time they spent together.

On March 20, 1999 Lori married the love of her life, Blaine Rhea, and they spent almost 25 wonderful years together. Blaine shared Lori’s love for animals as they adopted/rescued every animal they had together. Lori even had a tattoo of herself with angel wings looking over their four recent beloved dogs. She loved being outdoors and was immensely proud of her garden, especially since it drew hummingbirds which she referred to as her “spirit animals”. At one point there were baby hummingbirds that hatched, and Lori would speak to them and comfort them in her usual loving way.

Lori’s compassion for animals led her to work in veterinary hospitals which eventually led her to work for a patient care coordinator for hospice. The staff and patients all loved her, she was so caring and sweet. Lori always put others first before her own health and well being (even animals!) No matter ho bad her health was, she would always find ways to help others even when she was in pain. Everyone that knew Lori knew that they could always count on her and that she would always be there. One of the quirks Lori had was she hardly practiced what she preached! She was always so concerned about others well being that she tended to put herself last.

Lori will be missed by everyone who knew her. She was strong in her Christian faith and we believe with her that she is no longer suffering and in a better place with God. Please join us as we celebrate her life and lay her to rest on Monday, July 27th starting at 9am at the Chapel of Orange.
