Linda Lang, 71, of Anaheim, California, was called home to be with Jesus on November 5, 2019. She was born to parents Glenn Lashwood and Jeanne Fahncke, on February 14, 1948 in Ogden, Utah.
She graduated from Davis High School in Layton, Utah in 1966. She attended Concordia Teacher’s College in Seward, Nebraska. She earned her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education in Aurora, Colorado in 1980. She went on to study Early Childhood Education at Concordia University Irvine and earned both a bachelors and a masters degree in her field.
Linda worked as a preschool teacher and director for 30 years. She served our Lord at Hope Lutheran Preschool in Aurora, Colorado; St. Andrew’s Lutheran Preschool Montbello Colorado; St. Paul’s Lutheran Preschool Norwalk, California; Christ Lutheran Preschool in San Pedro, California; and St. Paul’s Lutheran Preschool in Orange, California among other schools.
She was a faithful child of God who had an insatiable curiosity for life and a giving heart. She loved to cook for others and create needlepoint crafts.
Linda met Phil in 1967 at Concordia Teacher’s College Seward, Nebraska. They were married on August 2, 1969 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ogden, Utah. Together they raised two daughters: Laura and Laisa.
Linda is survived by her husband, Philip Lang; her two daughters, Laura Siegert and Laisa Segrist; and her four grandchildren, MJ Siegert, Virginia Segrist, Peter Segrist, and Katelynn Segrist.
The family will be holding a celebration of life service at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on December 1, 2019 at 3:00. St. Paul’s address is 13082 Bowen St. Garden Grove, CA 92843. A reception will follow. Reverand Vu will officiate the ceremony.
