Kenny (Cho Yinghui)

Kenny (Cho Yinghui) passed away peacefully at 4:45 AM on July 24, 2026, at Harbor Villa nursing home. He was 88 years old.
Kenny was born on December 12, 1937, in Hualien County, Taiwan, the eldest of seven children. His family held to the Christian faith for generations, and that faith became the foundation of his own life and the values he passed on to his daughters.
On August 23, 1982, Kenny moved from Taiwan to Los Angeles, where he found steady work with the help of brothers in his church. He soon sent for his daughters, Grace and Sara, who had been raised by relatives in Taiwan, and brought them to Los Angeles to live with him. As a single father, he raised both daughters through hardship, and watched them grow, finish their studies, and build families of their own.
After retiring, Kenny grew deeply interested in church history and started a gospel course at his church, which was later recorded on DVD. He devoted his remaining years to sharing his faith and serving his church community.
In 2023, Kenny began dialysis treatment, attending sessions three times a week for the following three years. Despite the difficulty, he remained joyful, supported by frequent visits and calls from his children, grandchildren, son-in-law, and sisters across the United States and Taiwan.
In June 2026, his health declined sharply, and he was hospitalized. He was surrounded by family, prayer, and the support of his church community in his final weeks.
Kenny is survived by his daughters, Grace (and her husband, Pablo) and Sara (and her husband, Frank), along with his grandchildren, including his first grandchild from Sara's first marriage, and Grace's daughter and two sons.
He is remembered as a devoted father, a man of deep faith, and a dedicated servant of his church community. He is now at rest with the Lord.
