Jorge Rivero

Jorge Rivero passed away December 7th after a long & difficult 3-year battle with liver and kidney disease. He fought with all he had until the very end. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and his parents Armando & Loida Rivero. He is survived by his fiancé Melissa Aldridge and step-son London Aldridge, his brother & sister-in-law Armando Rivero & Maria Guadalupe Torres, his nieces Rosa Valenzuela, Monica Farias, and Angelica Rivero, and his  nephew Alex Rivero. He is also survived by several great-nieces, a great nephew and numerous cousins.

Jorge was born in Cuba on 3/7/71. He came to the US as a child and later became a US citizen as an adult.  He worked in the IT field throughout his life and held numerous professional certifications.

Jorge was one-of-kind. He had a larger-than-life personality with an adventurous spirt and zeal for life.  In his younger years, he loved to cycle, scuba-dive, ride motorcyles and skydive. Lifelong favorites were dancing, working on computers, flying his RC planes and drones, playing on-line games, taking cruises and casino trips, collecting Legos & all things Star Wars, and spending time with loved ones (including his pets).  

Jorge was genuine and kind-hearted. He was always willing to help a friend and never met a stranger.  He had an infectious smile and laugh. He was always the life of the party and his humor and charm brought much joy to everyone around him. He loved fiercely and unconditionally, especially Melissa and London. In Melissa he finally found his soulmate and one true love. He cherished her and London til his last breath.

Jorge will be greatly missed.
