John "Juanio" Luis Oceguera

John Luis Oceguera passed away peacefully at home on November 19, 2022. Funeral services will be at Chapel of Orange, 215 N Grand St. Orange, CA 92866 at 2:00pm. John was born in Orange on June 21 1938 to Herminia and Porfirio Oceguera. He grew up in Delhi where he became known as "Juanio" or "Guero". At the age of 22 he met the love of his life, Margarita Borrego. They wed on July 22, 1961. They had four children, Deborah, John, Lisa and Linda. His passion to become a barber began in the late 1960s. He used his ability to socialize by welcoming many people into his barber chair where he would tell them many of his "barber jokes". Over the years he opened two barber shops. He retired at the age of 65. He spent his remaining years at home. He loved to be outside gardening, reading the newspaper or chatting with people passing by. He loved to socialize and entertain people. He loved to bring joy to those he came in contact with. He will be greatly missed. He leaves behind his wife, Margarita; his sister, Anita Cordova; 4 children, Deborah Oceguera, John Oceguera, Lisa Amezcua, and Linda Nieblas; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
