Jesus Mendoza Obituary

Born June 05, 1938, at 7am in Anaheim, CA to Jesus and Mary Mendoza.  He was their third of fourteen children.  He would recall his younger years harvesting the orange trees here in Orange County.  Then, while driving the streets of El Modena with his life-long friend Al, he met the love of his life, Georgia.

They married on October 5, 1963, moving into a small house on Donneybrooke St in the City of Orange.   In 1964 they welcomed their first child, Rosie.  They bought their first car, a 1965 Ford Mustang for $2,799.  At the time, he was a cabinet maker for Custom Cabinets.

Their family grew, welcoming Trina in 1965, Joey in 1967, and Lisa 1969.  By 1970, he was designing and building displays as a fabrication engineer.  They bought their first home on August 21, 1970 in the City of Santa Ana.  Then expanded their family, welcoming Lena in 1972, Carrie in 1978, Daniel in 1981, and Jessica in 1984.

That one day, traveling through the streets of El Modena resulted in the formation of an exceptionally large family.  8 children, 29 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

As often as he could, he would brag about his family.  And all their accomplishments on the softball, baseball, hockey, soccer and football fields.  From golf courses to dance recitals.  That was our dad.

He passed away on February 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
