Jay Rapport died peacefully at home on June 15, 2022. His loving wife Kathy was by his side. The city of Orange was their home for 30 years. Jay was born on July 15, 1931 to Edith and George Rapport in the city of Los Angeles. He had a younger sister Toni who passed away in 2014. An Army Veteran, Jay was goal-oriented all his life: over 40 years with Great Western, Sales as part owner, and volunteer at St. Joseph’s Hospital for nine years. Outside of work Jay filled his time with jogging, sports, scenic puzzles, and travel (taking great pride in having driven to and visited every state capitol—including Alaska and Hawaii). Family gatherings on birthdays and holidays filled the calendar with laughter—Jay secretly loved the teasing he sometimes got for his quirky habits. Jay and Kathy were active members of St. Norbert’s Catholic Church where his funeral is planned for June 28 at 10 a.m. Jay was a beloved husband, father, step-father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law and dear friend to many. He remains forever in our hearts and will be dearly missed.
