Harriet Elizabeth (George) Allec, wife of the late Leon Jerome Allec, died peacefully at home on May 20, 2025 at the age of 95, with her loving daughter and a dear caregiver by her side. Born in San Diego, CA, mom was the youngest of 3 children of Jesse Allen George and Rebekah Crabtree George. She grew up in Santa Ana, CA, enjoying fishing with her brothers at the family cabin in Silverado Canyon. Both of her parents passed away prior to her high school graduation. Six months later she met dad, her great love. Prior to their marriage, mom attended Pepperdine College, Whittier College, and graduated from San Diego State College with a degree in Art. Mom dedicated her life to raising her 2 daughters and making a lovely family home. Mom was a dedicated wife, mother, and communicant of St. Anthony Claret Church. She was an exceptionally gifted artist, pianist, needlepoint designer, and seamstress and used her gifts for the glory of God. Mom was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Bill and Allen. She leaves 2 daughters, Rebekah Maresh and Cosette Schaaf and her husband, Doug. She also leaves 7 grandchildren – Emily, Bridget, Joseph, Moriah, Shauna, Jennifer, and Cody, along with 8 great-grandchildren. She leaves her dear sister-in-law, Therese Lee, and many nieces and nephews, whom she dearly loved. We would like to extend our profound gratitude to dad’s family who lovingly supported mom throughout her life. We also extend our deep gratitude to mom’s incredible caregivers and all of the Hospice staff who took such wonderful care of mom and provided incredible support and love for us. A Rosary for mom will be private for family. A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday, May 29 at 10:00AM St. Anthony Claret Church in Anaheim, CA followed by her burial at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Orange. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mercy Home, mom’s favorite charity for children, or to St. Anthony Claret Church.
