Hani Atalla Obituary

Hani Nabil Atalla passed away tragically and far too soon on April 22, 2023. Hani was born on May 5, 1977 in Burbank, California. He spent his childhood growing up in Burbank and Orange County with his older sister Nana. His childhood was filled with adventures discovering America with his family and “The Laham Bunch.” He attended Magnolia High School where he excelled at basketball, math and charming the socks off every person who knew him. While in high school, Hani established lifelong friendships with his band of brothers known as the “Vipers” who would sometimes drive Hani’s Mom crazy raiding her fridge, while also bringing a smile to her face every time.

In the summer of 2000, he met the love of his life and future wife Theresa in Las Vegas. He was a loving husband and devoted father of Malik, Alexandria and Luca. Theresa and their children meant the world to him. His children were the light of his life and he poured his unconditional love into them. Anyone who knew him understood Hani was the epitome of a true family man.

While juggling fatherhood, marriage and his growing career, he continued attending college and received numerous certifications in Information Technology from the Computer Education Institute. His professional career was dedicated to working as an IT Engineer for Honda, Thales and most recently with AAA (American Automobile Association).

He was a caring son, the best brother, devoted spouse, loving father, amazing nephew & cousin, and loyal friend to everyone in his life. His magnanimous personality, gregarious spirit, comforting soul, and warm sense of humor was and will always be felt by family, friends, colleagues and all who knew him.

Hani is survived by his wife Theresa Atalla, his three children Malik, Alexandria and Luca Atalla, sister Nahed ‘Nana’ Nedelman, brother Tarek El Dabbagh, his parents Haifa Laham and Nabil Atalla, along with many other family members.
