Frank Eugene Reese passed away in Fullerton, CA on March 20, 2025. Frank was born in Warroad, Minnesota, near the Canadian border, the third of seven children and raised there until the age of 6 when the family moved to Fargo, North Dakota. At the age of 18, Frank moved to California and studied at Fullerton College while working full-time as a draftsman for various defense companies. He started his own electronics manufacturing company in 1965 and successfully ran it until his wife's illness in 1994. He met his wife Darlene on a double date in 1955 and they were married in 1957 when he was just 22 and she was almost 19.

 

He will be remembered as a wonderful father, beloved husband, and will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to know him. 

 

Frank was a car enthusiast and was actively involved with the OC Mustang Club, the OC Corvette Club, and the OC Model A Ford Club. He will be remembered for his good-natured smile, endlessly positive outlook, problem-solving skills, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends.

 

Frank was very sentimental and would cry at other people's weddings. Our only solace, is that this beautiful wise soul has gone on to be with the Lord.

 

Frank is preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Darlene, his parents, Joseph and Margaret, his siblings Marjorie, Mabel, Richard, and Bill, his sister-in-law Carol, and beloved brother-in-law Dick Wheeler.

 

Frank is survived by his sister Janet, his brother George. his children Bradley, Gary, Dennis, and Susan. Daughters in law Lisa and Debra. Grandchildren Summer, Ashley, Jessica, Jennifer, Taylor, Breanna, and Matthew. Great-grandchildren Kaylee, Randi, Evan, Selah, Titus, Madelynn, and Judah. 

As well as his girlfriend and best friend of 23 years, Carole Howard.
