Today, we gather to celebrate the extraordinary life of my grandmother, Flavia.

Flavia lived an incredible 101 years—a life filled with love, strength, sacrifice, joy, and devotion to her family. Reaching 101 years old is remarkable, but what made her life truly special was not just the number of years she lived, but the way she lived them.

She was a hardworking single mother who dedicated herself to raising her family. Through determination, resilience, and unconditional love, she raised four daughters and lovingly took a son under her wing, caring for him as one of her own. Her family was always at the center of her life, and she worked tirelessly to provide for and support those she loved.

Flavia knew both joy and heartbreak. She experienced the devastating loss of one of her daughters, a sorrow that no parent should have to endure. Yet through every challenge, she remained strong, carrying herself with grace, courage, and faith. She taught all of us that life's difficulties do not define us—our strength in facing them does.

What many of us will remember most about Grandma Flavia was her happiness. She had a joyful spirit that seemed to light up every room she entered. She loved to laugh, and her laughter was contagious. Flavia vivió unos increíbles 101 años, una vida llena de amor, fortaleza, sacrificio, alegría y dedicación a su familia. Llegar a los 101 años es algo extraordinario, pero lo que hizo su vida verdaderamente especial no fue solo la cantidad de años que vivió, sino la manera en que los vivió.
