Elizabeth “Nanie” Palacio, aged 70, passed away peacefully at home with loved ones on the evening of January 27, 2020.
Elizabeth was born and raised in Orange County, California. While she lived in various places throughout her life, she always made her way back to Orange.
Elizabeth was a highly creative person. She was a hairdresser by trade, and her many hobbies included cooking, sewing, quilting, and embroidery.
Elizabeth opened her own salon, The Parlor, on Maple Street in Orange and then later relocated it to Mayfair Street until she sold it to enter into semi-retirement. She loved her work so much she continued working one day per week until illness forced her to finally retire.
As a member of the Orange Grove Quilters Guild and a professional cosmetologist, Elizabeth created many close and valued relationships with fellow crafters and clients that she served for varied lengths of time over the last 35 years.
Elizabeth is survived by her four children, JoAnne M. Ramey, Richard F. Meza, Jessie Meza, and Fernando Aguila, three children-in-law, Paul Ramey, Lisa Meza, and Janet Aguila. Additionally Elizabeth is survived by four grandchildren, Garrett, Kenna, Yasmine, Elissa, her great grandchild Cheyenne, and many cousins.
Elizabeth will be remembered and missed by her family, friends, clients and her beloved dog, Daisy.
