Elizabeth Ann (Waggoner) Amezaga-Black Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Amezaga Black passed away surrounded by the love and legacy she so carefully nurtured throughout her life. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, generous spirit, and the deep devotion she held for her family and friends.

For the past several years, Elizabeth was able to remain in the comfort of her home thanks to the  dedication and full-time care of her family. During this time, her life was defined by resilience, grace, and the meaningful connections she maintained with those closest to her.

Elizabeth’s greatest joy was her family—she always put them first. Her love extended beyond her immediate circle to her many friends and to anyone who entered her home. She had a rare gift for making people feel welcome, treating everyone with warmth and kindness as though they were part of her family.

She found happiness in simple, heartfelt pursuits. Elizabeth loved to sew, creating with care and creativity, and she expressed her love through cooking, bringing people together around meals made with intention and heart. She also had a deep love for gardening, finding peace and joy in tending to her plants and nurturing life in all its forms.

She is survived by her three children, Richard, Steve, and Renee; and her beloved grandchildren, Marcie, Michael, Amy, and Andrew.

Elizabeth leaves behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
