Elio Carmine Falcone, entered this world as the fifth-born and youngest child to Marianina and Antonio Falcone on December 27, 1936. He was born in the beautiful paese of Pietra Montecorvino, Foggia, Italy. His life growing up in Italy was impacted by two World Wars, yet, in the truest simplicity of Italian living, his family and his extended family thrived and took care of each other with sustenance from their respective farms. When Elio’s family relocated into the city of Foggia, his Papa hung out his “Sartoria” (Tailor’s) shingle from their third-floor balcony. Thus began Elio’s growing-up professional legacy of learning the art of European tailoring!
He was an enthusiastic, life-long sports fan of Italian Futbol…Soccer! He lived and loved anything and everything Italian, but also immersed himself delightfully into American lifestyles when he came to the U.S.A. in 1972, and married his wife, Kathleen, in January 1973. In fact, he and his wife celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in January 2023.
Elio was a deeply devotional, prayer-filled, faith-filled man. He prayed constantly, loved God, his Catholic faith, and his fellow man with his whole heart. Elio was a treasured blessing to his entire family both in Italy and America. His legacy is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen, son Christopher, daughter-in-law, Heather, and his two grandsons, Dominic, and Lucas; and, his loving nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews in Italy.
We will never forget you and always carry you in our hearts…you were a most loving husband, father, and “Grampy” …May you rest in peace!
