Dorothy May Blaskowsky

Dorothy Blaskowsky entered into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 29, 2020 at her residence at Park Plaza, following a short hospitalization with pneumonia. 

Dorothy was born in Franktown, NV and spent her childhood years on the family farm.  She graduated from Reno High School and attended Reno Business College.  She quickly found a job in an insurance office in Reno. When she moved to southern California in her early 20's, she worked for H.P. Harrison Insurance Agency and Orange County Insurance, later to be called Jardine Insurance. 

She volunteered many hours at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Orange where she was an active member.

In January of 2020, she celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron, and her son, David.  She is survived by cousins Lola Gordon and Joyce Echevarria of Reno, NV and many nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held Monday, November 9th at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Orange.  In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Orange.
