Doris Jane Johnson

Doris Jane (Davison) Johnson age 95, was called to heaven on Tuesday, September 28 2021 in Orange, California

Doris was born June 22, 1926 in Perry County Illinois to the late Thomas William Davison and Flora Jane (Taylor) Davison. 

On September 8, 1946 she was united in marriage to Jesse Clayton Johnson in DuQuoin Illinois.  In 1951 Jesse and Doris moved to California.  Doris worked in several physicians offices taking care of the front office and assisting in the back office as needed.  After retiring, Doris enjoyed gardening, camping, cooking, spending time with close friends, but most of all enjoyed time with her beloved husband Jesse.

Doris is survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends who were her family.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her siblings Barbara Davison, Mary Bailey, Bessie Varnum, Marjorie Cavins, Blanch Caldwell, Thomas Davidson, James Davison, Julian Davison, and Harold Davison.

Graveside service for Doris and Jesse Johnson will be held Friday, November 5, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at their final resting place in Cudgetown Cemetery in DuQuoin, Illinois.  Mr. Rob Mathis will preside over the services.  Friends and family are welcome at the gravesite.  If unable to attend prayers and positive thoughts are appreciated.
