Demetrio Julio Obituary

Demetrio Rojas Julio (April 9, 1962 – January 8, 2025)

It is with great sorrow that the family of Demetrio Rojas Julio, a beloved brother, uncle and friend, announces his unexpected passing in Anaheim, Calif. on the afternoon of Jan. 8, 2025 at the age of 62.

Demetrio is survived by his brother Francisco Arellano Sr., his nephew Francisco Arellano Jr., his nieces Cristina Arellano, Irene San Román, Bridget Arellano, Alessandra Venegas and many others relatives who loved him dearly.

Born on April 9, 1962 to Rosa Rojas and Seberino Julio in the Mexican state of Guerrero, Demetrio came to the United States in 1978 in search of a better life and worked for many years at auto dealerships in Orange County.

In his younger years, Demetrio could be readily found on the dance floor at family weddings, quinces and other events.

Always known as a kind, affable and giving person, Demetrio always wanted to show gratitude to others for their own acts of kindness.

He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and love of family nicknames, including his own “güero” and “bomba.”

Demetrio enjoyed traveling back to Mexico for extended vacations throughout his life where he would enjoy the company of his family. He also liked visiting Acapulco’s beautiful beaches and eating fresh seafood. He had just returned from a holiday vacation in Mexico before his untimely passing.

May God now receive Demetrio into his glorious kingdom and may the wealth of memories he left behind be sustained by those he loved.

There will be a nine-day period of mourning to pray for Demetrio from 1/22-1/30. This will take place at the same church for his service. Our Lady-Guadalupe Parish Center.
