Cynthia D. Leedom passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the age of 75 following a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Cynthia was born on May 15, 1946 in Longview, Washington to Margie Wagoner. In 1956, she moved to Santa Ana, California with her mom and siblings. While attending Santiago High School, she worked at the local ice cream shop where she earned a reputation as a hard worker and always remembered to bring home sweets for her sisters. Later, Cynthia worked on a component assembly line at Hughes, then transitioned to secretarial work.
On April 14, 1978 she married Ridgway Leedom and together they raised three children, Michael, Leah, and Michelle. After taking courses at Saddleback College, she discovered her interest in higher-level accounting and went on to take over the internal financial responsibilities for their businesses–skills she passed on to her children.
Cynthia was known for her wise counsel, fairness, curious mind, generous heart, resilience, quick wit, and for being impeccably organized and well dressed. She was a friend to all and had a propensity to adopt friends as family. Cynthia enjoyed a diverse number of activities ranging from regular exercise to traveling, shopping and attending Angels baseball games. She was an avid fan of investigative and home renovation tv programs. Above all, she treasured spending time with loved ones, especially her grandchildren.
Cynthia is survived by her mother, Margie; four siblings, Everett, Phyllis, Judy and Ron; her husband of 44 years, Ridgway; four children, Michael, Leah, Michelle and Loraine; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
