Connie Morales Pilcher was born on November 1, 1949 and passed away peacefully in her home on October 27, 2024 at the age of 74, surrounded by her loving family. Connie is survived by her husband of nearly 51 years, James W. Pilcher (Jim), her children Katherine Herstine, James R. Pilcher; son-in-law Brian Herstine; grandchildren Anthony Perez, Gabriella (Gabby) Arambul (Husband Ian), Nicholas Pilcher, David Herstine and Kendrick Pilcher; great-grandchildren Dominic and Eliana Arambul; siblings Benjamin Morales and Vera Perez; Godchildren Michelle Daley (husband CJ), Daniel Velardez (wife Erica), Monique Velardez, Maurice Ramirez (wife Rebecca) and Joseph Dorion; nieces Jenny Ramirez (husband Art), Beatriz Valdez, Leticia Brizendine (husband Rob), many other nieces, nephews, loved ones, and her angel Rosie. Connie is preceded in death by her parents Reynaldo and Isabella Morales, her brother Agapito (Augie) Morales and her sister Catalina (Kate) Figueroa.
Connie was born and raised in the city of Orange, California. After graduating from Villa Park High School in 1967 she went on to study at Santa Ana College. After College she began her first job at UCI Medical Center before meeting and marrying the love of her life, Jim. Jim and Connie were married at La Purisima Catholic Church on December 29, 1973. After marrying they moved to Jim’s hometown of Memphis, TN. On August 9, 1975 they welcomed their first child, Katherine Ann. Six months later Jim and Connie returned back to Orange to be near their family that they loved dearly. On October 30, 1977 they welcomed their second child, James Rey.
Connie began working for the Orange County Superior Court in 1978 and retired as a court manager in 2012. Connie didn’t take to retirement well; to slow of a pace. She opted to return to employment as a Security Guard at Northpark Community in the city of Irvine, and within 6 months was asked to be the Post Commander for the community. In true Connie fashion, she excelled at her employment until becoming ill with Alzheimer’s in January 2022.
Connie lived life to the fullest spending all her free time loving on her grandchildren and her beloved puppy dogs Milo, Gracie, Sunni, Cooper and Fini.
Funeral mass will be held on November 7, 2024, 10am at La Purisima Catholic Church in Orange, CA. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange, CA .
