Blanca Silvia Gutierrez Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Blanca Silvia Gutiérrez, affectionately known as "Caperucita," on September 4, 2024, at UCI Medical. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her son, Raúl, and her daughter, Josie, after a courageous five-year battle with cancer.

Blanca was born on November 20, 1957 in Belisario Dominguez, Chihuahua, Mexico, as the second youngest of 10 children to Josefina and José Dolores Gutiérrez. Known for her kindness and nurturing spirit, she always had a special connection with children. Her nieces and nephews from her older siblings’ families loved being around her, seeking her out for fun and joy.

Blanca was married to Ramon Gutiérrez, and even before his untimely passing, she had always dedicated her love and care to her children. After his death, she continued to ensure Raúl and Josie had a brighter future, building a deep bond with them through her anwaring love, sacrifice and perseverance.

Her passions included gardening, where she found peace among her plants, and crocheting, which she enjoyed with a quiet grace. Blanca’s gentle nature and joy in caring for others touched the lives of many.

Blanca is survived by her son Raúl, her daughter Josie, and many loving family members who will forever hold her in their hearts.

A viewing will take place at the Chapel of Orange on Friday, September 27, 2024, followed by a funeral mass at St. Norbert Catholic Church, and her burial at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.

May she rest in eternal peace.
