Bernadette Tan Chua

Bernadette Chua was born in Manila, Philippines on Sept 9, 1974 and transitioned into God’s light on June 1, 2022 in La Mirada, California.  

She is preceded in death by her mother Ruperta Tan and father Chua San as well as her older sister Eunice.

 She is survived by her siblings, their spouses and children: Chris (brother), Arlene (sister) with her husband Alex and children Alyssa and Addison, Joni (sister), Vangie (sister) and her husband Allan and their children Summer and Andrei.  

A true angel on this earth, she has brought light and love to many of us who needed it. Whether it was as a social worker, nurse, or realtor Bernadette always did the best she could to help others. Her kindness and compassion knew no boundaries. Her presence taught many of us how to be a better daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend.  

Bernadette leaves behind a legacy of life lessons. She taught us unconditional love, how to be a genuine friend, generosity, love, integrity, care and kindness that many of us were lucky to experience in this world. She also taught us how to be a better human.

Although many of us are sad for her departure, we know that she has graduated this life with Angel’s wings.
