Antonio Becerra Obituary

Antonio Ortega Becerra
1929-2025

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our father Antonio Ortega “Tony” Becerra.
Tony departed peacefully with family August 15, 2025 at the age of 96.

Born on January 20, 1929 in Orange, Ca., Dad was a Laborer for Means and Ulrich in Santa Ana and later worked for the City of Orange in the Parks Department.  Dad was also a proud member of Laborers Union Local 652.

Pop liked to talk about old times, old places and old faces, sharing stories of our hometown as he grew up.
Always ready with a witty remark, Dad was known for quietly watching his family from afar, he enjoyed a good break on the pool table, listening to music from the swingin’ years, and watching his beloved Angels.

Dad would share stories of his journey as a young soldier in Japan and Korea. As a veteran of the Korean War, Dad was proud to be a member of the 765th TRS Battalion.
Dad served his country with honor and integrity.

Tony is survived by his wife of 70 years, Nancy, his son Mark and daughters Dolores, Yvonne, and Andrea.
Grandchildren Anthony, Kristin, Lauren, Kevin, Kendall, and Kelli. Great Grandchildren Melita and Calyssa.

A graveside service will be held on September 5, 2025 at 10 am at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange.
