Aaron Anthony Taminich Obituary
In loving memory of Aaron Anthony Taminich.
Aaron (AJ) Anthony Taminich, age 35 passed away tragically on June 27, 2024, as a result of his ongoing battle with mental illness.
He leaves behind a shattered community of friends, loved ones and a grieving family.
Aaron Anthony Taminich was born on August 14, 1988, to the parents of Tami Lanette Taminich and Thomas Edward Lott.
Aaron is in the Guinness Book of World Records for walking at seven weeks old! He was also on an episode of Incredible Sunday for the youngest kids doing amazing things.
After Aaron graduated from Santa Fe High School in 2006, he went on to play college football at Mount Sac.
Sadly, Aaron could not continue playing football or going to college as he was stricken hard with paranoid schizophrenia at the age of 18.
Aaron tried very hard to live a relatively normal life with this difficult disease. All of you who knew Aaron, know that he is extremely strong and had an extraordinarily hard life. He worked hard to overcome to do the best that he could with all of the obstacles that he was given.
He has had some great moments playing High School and College football where he excelled as an amazing athlete! Whatever sport he tried; he surpassed most people who practiced for years. Aaron has a lot of medals in track. He led his football team to multiple championships.
He also helped the cheerleaders win a national championship in cheer competition in high school.
AJ found his love for cooking by attending Le Cordon Bleu. He was an amazing cook! He loved to make meals for his loved ones while listening to his favorite music. About 12 years ago, AJ got a job at a paddle board shop in Marina Del Rey, and he found his love for the water.
He is survived by his mother, Tami Taminich, his father, Thomas Lott, his Granny, Shirley Finch, his Auntie, Shannon Galvan, his son, Marshall Ibarra, his brother, Michael Lott and sister, Kesha Chestnut.
Aaron joined his brother in heaven, Thomas Eric Lott Minor, who was only 11 years old when he passed, 27 years ago. They both left on the same day, Thursday, June 27.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to NAMI (The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill), an organization that helps the families and the people stricken with mental illness.
