William Jasper Sims Jr.

William "Sandy" Sims was born in Purcell, Oklahoma in 1925. He was the oldest of nine children born to William Sims Sr. and Edna Taylor. The family moved to California in 1941. He is survived by his siblings Bill Sims of Ca, Alice Sims Phillips of Ca, Fay Sims Hood of Ok; and his surviving son Michael D. Sims of TX. He had 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was a WWII veteran serving during fierce combat in the Pacific. He loved to travel. After the war had taken him places that an Oklahoma boy had never dreamed of seeing he went to the middle east, all over the US and brought along his grandkids on many adventures. He was loved. You always knew when he walked in a room and would frequently yell out "YeeHaa San Antone." He always shared his Christian faith with everyone he met. Passing out his signature Relax God's In Charge calling cards to everyone he met. He was the best Grandpa, he will be missed but never forgotten.
