Larry Richard Bartosiewski was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota on June 17, 1947. Two years later, his parents relocated to Orange, CA, where Larry attended St. John’s Lutheran School and Orange High School. Upon graduation from Cal State Fullerton, Larry first served his country in the Army National Guard, and went on to have a successful 35 year career with the OC Sheriff’s Department. While working at Disneyland during his college years, Larry met the love of his life, Patricia Tivenan. They wed on May 29, 1971, and went on to build a beautiful life together. Larry loved to travel with his wife and family, did amazing wood work as a hobby, and coached his daughters’ soccer teams. Larry passed away peacefully in his home with family surrounding him on October 4, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Pat, daughters Casey Torres and Cindy Shaw, sons-in-law Manuel Torres and William Shaw, and grandsons Trevor and Ryder Torres. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 20th, at 10 AM on the North Campus of First Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton, 2904 Brea Blvd in Fullerton. Those who attend the service are encouraged to dress in Dodger Blue or in a Hawaiian shirt in honor of Larry. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to EV Free Fullerton’s Compassion Fund, The Salvation Army, or The Wounded Warriors Project.
