Ian Daniel Flynn, known to friends as "Ian,” “E,” or “E-Dog,” passed away on July 14, 2018, at the age of 38.
Born to Paul and Donna Flynn in Lancaster, CA on October 27, 1979, Ian grew up in Riverside, CA, Anaheim Hills, CA, and most recently resided in Los Angeles, CA. Ian was a graduate of Servite High School in Anaheim, CA and employed as a manager at Barney's Beanery in Santa Monica, CA.
Ian loved all sports and was an excellent athlete. He played college football at New Mexico Highlands University where he excelled as a defensive back. He loved following and watching sports as well, most notably boxing and the Boston Celtics. Ian had a passion for hip hop music, particularly of the 80s and 90s genres.
Ian spent his professional career working in the bar and restaurant industries where he served in numerous capacities – from entry-level server working his way up to manager. He was known as a master mixologist among his peers; he had an uncanny ability to create bespoke cocktails that both looked and tasted fantastic.
Ian was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Chanel Elyse Flynn. He is survived by his parents, Paul and Donna Flynn of Anaheim Hills, CA; brother Conor Flynn and wife Harmony Letizia, as well as his niece Liv Elyse Flynn (who he affectionately called “his best friend”) of Las Vegas, NV; brother Shamus Flynn and wife Laura Flynn of Mountain View, CA; and brother Graeme Flynn of Anaheim Hills, CA.
Ian will be buried with his sister at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange, CA.
