Glen Fredrick Kastner, age 86, passed away in Orange County, CA surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 8, 2018. He was born on June 14, 1931 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Emil John and Augusta Wilhelmina Louise Kastner. Glen was one of three children, Ralph (deceased) and Martha. Glen attended grade school at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran School and Arsenal Technical High School, graduating in 1949. Glen graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business; receiving additional honors as a Distinguished Military graduate through ROTC. He went on to receive his JD from Indiana University Law School. Glen was also a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. As an Army officer, Glen was stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia and later assigned to Fort Lewis, Washington in 1954. On October 16, 1954, he married Nancy Rae Pearson. Together, they had five Children and seven grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Nancy; sons, Mark (Cindy), Stephen (Cathie), Christopher (Michelle), daughters, Susan (Donald) and Jennifer. Seven grandchildren: Nicole Lynn, Alissa Kathryn, Matthew Ryan, Scott Christopher, Katelyn Rose, Natalie Claire, and Brendan Glen and several nieces and nephews. Glen had a long and distinguished career in the Aerospace Industry where he was known as a brilliant contract writer and mentor to many. His career required him to travel the world but his favorite place was at home with his family. Funeral services and burial will be held at Riverside National Cemetery.
