Frances Ellen Roche

FRANCES ELLEN ROCHE, was born on September 27, 1921 and passed away on April 27, 2018.

She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Rosemarie Wilson Comerford and Francis Aloysius Comerford. She graduated from Fairfax High School in Los Angeles and married John Synon Roche on May 10, 1941 in Los Angeles. John Roche was a native of Milford, Massachusetts.  She was  preceded in death by her husband, John (Jack) Roche, her parents and a sister, Jackie Guy.

Ellen is survived by three children: Eldrid (W. Dee) Allen, John Roche, and Shauna (Norm) Trute along with 9 grandchildren: Shauna (Bill) Waller, Kaari (Paul) Gocong, Melinda Anton, W. Michael Allen (Amy), John Damian Roche, Jeffery Roche, Tyler, Tim and Tom Trute. Her 8 great-grandchildren are: Natalie, Blake and Alison Waller,  Caroline and Erica Anton, Lauren, Audrey and Ava Allen.

Ellen contracted polio at the age of 24 yrs. She triumphed over many obstacles - learning to walk with braces, learned how to do everything left handed, learned to drive a car...all this and she never complained and ALWAYS had a smile! She kept books for her husband's business, loved knitting, playing bridge, entertaining and cooking.  She definitely was a consummate homemaker - always gracious, kind and  available to help, no matter what time it was and loved spoiling her family. A true lady full of grace.
