Beatrice (Steidle) Soltani

Beatrice Soltani   July 9, 1955 – August 4, 2017

Beatrice Soltani, a loving mother and wife, passed away on August 4, 2017. Born on July 9, 1955, Beatrice was raised in Basel, Switzerland by her mother, Giberte Marie-Antoinette Louise Steidle and father, Karl Heinz Friedrich Steidle. In her 20’s, she worked for Swiss Air in Geneva, Switzerland and spent her free time traveling around the world with her best friends; Maggie, Susanne and Veronique. During a trip to visit her sister, Alice, in California, she enrolled in an English language class at Cypress College. It was there that she locked eyes with the love of her life, Siamak.  They continued their relationship by exchanging love letters and traveling to one another until they eventually settled down in Yorba Linda, California. The two married on December 14th of 1986. 

In 1988, Beatrice and Siamak gave birth to their first child, Sina Oliver. Shortly thereafter, in 1992, they welcomed their second child, Yasmin, to their family. 

Beatrice appreciated wine, cheese, and chocolate with her “French Ladies.” She enjoyed social functions with family and friends, traveling, reading, and watching movies. But most of all, Beatrice’s pride and joy was her two children. She loved them dearly and never missed an opportunity to talk about their success.

Beatrice is survived by Siamak, her husband of 31 years; her two children, Sina and Yasmin Soltani; her two sisters, Madeleine Barak of Basel, Switzerland and family, and Alice Garciacano of Vaud, Switzerland and family; her mother-in-law Parvin Soltani of Tehran, Iran; her sister-in-law Taraneh Fallahiof Vancouver, Canada and family; her brother-in-law Farid Soltani of Tehran, Iran and family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law, Hooshang Soltani. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11:00 at Cemetary of the Holy Sepulcher, 7845 E. Santiago Canyon Rd. Orange, CA 92869. "Celebration of Life" will take place on the lawn, umbrellas or hats are recommended to provide additional shade. 

 A reception will follow at 12:30 at Darya Restaurant, 1998 N. Tustin St. Orange, CA 92865.
