Robert ReynoldsAugust 24, 1944 ~ July 13, 2017 (age 72)
On July 13, 2017 Robert Reynolds went home to be with the Lord at the age of 72 in Orange, California.
Robert was born in Chicago, Illinois to Claudia and Edward Joseph Reynolds on August 24, 1944. He went to school at Ridge High School in Chicago, Illinois. Robert served our country as an aircraft maintenance technician in the Air Force. He was in Viet Nam for a year and a half, and was in the Tet Offensive. Robert was awarded the National Defense Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Service Medal, and the Airman of the Month honor.
He married Barbara on November 4, 1971 in Chicago, Illinois. Robert studied electronics at Bogan Junior College in Chicago. He also completed three years of study at Bible Baptist College in Springfield, Missouri. Robert graduated from Controlled Data Institute, with a degree in computer technology; he managed to do all this while being married and having a growing family.
Robert and Barbara moved to California with their family in 1984.
He was a computer hardware technician for Sperry Univac and Digital Equipment Corporation. Robert was a mechanical engineer with numerous corporations.
Robert is preceded in death by his father Edward, mother Claudia, his twin sister Roberta, his brother Michael and his “Aunt Millie”.
Robert is survived by Barbara Reynolds, his spouse and their children Julie Castro and her spouse Peter, David Reynolds and his spouse Diana, and Rachael Brand. Robert is also survived by grandchildren Steven, Katie, Matthew and Corey Castro, Martin Reynolds, and Tyler Brand.
