Hi Sweetheart,
It's four years since your passing - the longest, most difficult years of my life. There's barely a minute or two that passes that I don't think of you and all the wonderful times we shared. Thank you for all those memories and all the joy you brought to us and to all of those who were fortunate enough to meet you during your all too brief time with us. You showed us how to live life to the fullest in the face of huge obstacles - we will never forget how you enriched all our lives. We miss your dearly - lots of love - Dad, Mum and John.

Thank you for all the memories and for showing us all, the true meaning of love and life - Lots of love always, Dad, Mum and John

Dearest Louise,

You are never far from our thoughts. We missed you dearly on our recent trip to California. Dad, Mum and John made us feel very welcome but the shopping was definitely not the same without you. 😉

We have one of the beautiful trinkets you made for us on the fridge. It brings a smile to our faces every time we look at it. It’s a beautiful reminder of the vibrant kind hearted friend we lost too soon.
Till we meet again.

Lots love,
Linda and Bryan

Hey there Louisey!

I can’t believe I wrote this whole thing and then “hit the wrong button” and lost it before it posted!!?? I must be getting old. Well, I AM a year older since I last saw you, HAH! That may have something to do with it?? Today is the anniversary of the day you got your permanent pair of angel wings, and we thought it might be nice to send you a bit of a greeting and update, if that’s OK with you?

Everyone here sends their love and hugs and misses you each and every day, just so you know! Not a holiday or party or get together goes by when we don’t mention you and talk about how much you loved a good party! Some of the sadness that we felt right after you left has gentled, but only a bit. As we let the sadness evolve, it is strengthened with more powerful memories and reminders of your love and laughter and friendship you shared with us while you were stuck on the planet with all of us. We hope and pray that you are having a great time up there with your Uncles and friends like Chloe and Emma’s Nana Banana!

I thought I might give you a brief recap of what’s been happening here since you left us… but then, I don’t ever write anything “brief” do I!?? I miss your emails and pictures you sent me!! If you can find a way to shoot me an email from the “cloud” up there, I’d really appreciate it. Maybe talk to a guy named Steven Jobs, he might be able to sort it out. Some of my favorite updates from you were when you’d enter (and ALWAYS WIN) in the OC Fair with your Mum! Do they have fairs up there? I hope they do have them, and I hope you impress them with your displays and attention to detail that went into so many of your entries down here.

Well, your BFF Emma finished up her junior year at UW Madison. She saved up her money from her three part time jobs and got to study in London England spring term! Emma loved getting postcards from you and your Family! She would have LOVED to send YOU postcards from her travels too; and you would have loved her blog she posted every week from over there. At the end of her 4 months, she even got to travel to Amsterdam, Norway and Greece! She has become quite the world traveler and I know you would be proud of her! Many of your post cards continue to take up their place of honor on our cluttered, but thematic refrigerator front (and side!). Thank you for sending those… and if you get a chance, we would really be impressed if you could send us one more from “the cloud”… again, talk to Mr. Jobs, he may know more about it than most. Oh, and make sure you put a cool Heavenly postage stamp on it so that we can show it off on our refrigerator too!!?

Miss Chloe has had some pretty major changes since she lost her BFF a year ago. She has moved from Appley Ever After Farm and taken on a job in Madison, WI where she teaches 3 year olds in a day care!!! I bet she would have lots of fun stories to share with you about her new smelly work place. Seems that parents these days are not as concerned about potty-training before they go off to day care as we once were. She is in her own apartment and has it decorated with a “beach theme” which we are pretty sure she learned how to do from her BFF -- who loved to decorate her bedroom in Orange!? I think Chloe remembers her days at the beach in California with you and misses it! Chloe also has taken her love of holidays she learned to appreciate from YOU into her day care. The parents are very impressed that she spends her own money on room decorations and treats for her 20 kids in her classroom. She puts up signs and banners and buys them stuff like art supplies. Her St. Patrick’s Day stuff was the most fun, I think!

Nancy and I will be taking the girls to Owasco Lake again this 4th of July vacation, which will bring back some wonderful sweet memories of our time spent there all together. We will be a bit sad that you are not with us watching the fireworks across the lake, but we are banking on the fact that your view from the clouds will be pretty amazing as well! Look for a Chinese lantern or two coming up your way from our launch pad on the lake shore, and perhaps even one or two of our own fireworks, OK? If you can “guide” them AWAY from hitting any of the neighbors that would be appreciated.

Old Laddie the Wonder Dog has had a few changes since you saw him last as well… and you might even notice a black and white dog up there in Heaven looking for someone to play stick with? That would be Laddie… he crossed the rainbow bridge just before Memorial Day weekend. We know he is happier now and hope that he and Buttons have reconnected! If you see him, please give him a pet for me and let him know how much he is missed around the farm. And remember to let go of the stick when you throw it or he may accidentally bite your hand!

I guess that’s most of the changes we have experienced here without you over the last year. I am thinking by now you will have mastered those angel wings and can scoot around Heaven with a blink. I bet you LOVE being able to move around faster and better than anyone down here, eh?!? Can’t wait to see you again when I get the call, but until then, just know that we are ALL missing you and keep you in our hearts and minds EVERY DAY!!! We love you, Louisey!!! XOXOX Mark & The Girls from Appley Ever After Farm.

Darling Louise (CABFF),
A year may have passed but you are never far away. The brightest star in the sky just looking out for us all along with Uncle Paul and making sure we keep smiling and keep the fun times happening. Miss hearing you say "isn't this fun" with that beautiful smile. We miss you more than you could ever imagine but thank you for all the lovely memories you have left us with. It's hard not to smile just thinking of you. Your beautiful friend Marley decided to join you too so hope you two are having lots of cuddles and looking after each other.
It's been a year of reflection with many tears but also laughter and constant reminders of the amazing times we all had together. We just had a wee celebration in your memory over fish 'n chips and wine with Grandma Anne, Paulie and Julia. Followed by ice cream of course!
We could sure do with your help in planning Georgie's wedding but we have a special candle and a heart made of flowers to remember you by as I know you will be there in spirit.
Shine brightly beautiful angel
We love you and miss you

Louise Anne is a sweet loving child who is with God now. Even though she was
27, she was a child always in God’s eye. Children are special to God they are a special gift to parents.
Louise only lived here on earth a short time but she gave love to everybody and everything she came in contact with from day to day. A simple thing like a special rock that she found on the ground that was so beautiful to her, she gave it away to a friend. I was one of those friends and I still have the rock and it always reminds me of Louise… a very special child of God.
Thank you God for bringing Louise into this world, she is in many people’s heart and has a special place in mine…

Dear Cathy, Phil and John,
We wish we were with you to help ease the pain and sadness you will be feeling after the loss of your darling daughter Louise. It's something no parent should have to go through and our hearts go out to you. One day you will look back at all the wonderful memories and know that you gave her the best life possible with your absolute dedication and determination. You provided a perfect loving and happy environment which enabled your little angel 'Pumpkin' to thrive and live her 27 years to the max. She certainly did that! Darling Louise was unique, happy, positive, thoughtful, loving and inspiring. She was a brave wee soul and never complained, no matter what (except when we lost at petanque)! It was hard to be anything other than happy when we were with her.

Louise (our little CABFF) - We will treasure the time we had with you, especially our last little road trip to see James Taylor. Best and most fun car trip ever and we're working on your Dad to get "Kev the Kiwi" to Kelson.

We will miss your creativity and driving force behind all our fun adventures - the yummy picnics, the hilarious petanque games (you were a formidable partner), our Friday fish 'n chips, our sing-alongs on the deck to Dolly and Taylor, fashion parades of your latest purchases (especially shoes!), the yummy beautifully decorated cakes and decorations that appeared at every occasion, our amazing birthday celebrations organised by you and the constant wonderful surprises in the mail of cards, pictures, gifts and decorations. I cherish all your little notes.

Thank you for being you and enhancing all our lives with your beautiful presence. Goodbye gorgeous girl.

What a sad news for us. We where dreaming of playing games of Pass the pigs for hours with you in next November.

The first time we met you was in Death Valley National Park a few years ago. We where camping just next to you. Our french Canadian speaking interested you, so we start talking and playing a game that we know all. We ate candies because it was in october. We shared good moments. You invited us to visit your home later on our trip. A new friendship was born with your wonderful family. Since then we met many times.

You where a sunshine for us. Visiting Orange County won't be the same.

Nous sommes triste d'apprendre ton départ Louise. Que c'était réconfortant de te voir. Tu étais toujours joyeuse et heureuse de nous recevoir.

Thank you for the ice cream, for sharing your room, for the ruby's lunch, for the many night playing Pass the pigs, for the SCARGOT trip around the city and finaly for beeing you!!!

We will miss you.

Louise’s friendship and love will be sadly missed.
Always in our hearts.

So sad that we will never see Louise again on your regular trips back to The Land Of The Long White Cloud. My aroha to you Kathy, Phil and John. She certainly was a treasure and we will all miss her. My thoughts are with you at this sad time. "The Band" will be meeting (as usual) at Peter's place this Saturday night and we will sing a song for Louise.

Our precious angel "Peaches" is in Gods arms and my heart forever. I treasure every moment we spent together doing crafts and playing games, telling jokes, singing karaoke etc. She carved a place in everyone's heart she ever met. Her laugh, her smile, her giving spirt and light will be missed by all. My heart and soul go out to Phil, Cathy, John and your entire family. RIP PEACHES-I love you forever

Dear Phil,Kathy and John, I am really struggling to find the words what to say about the loss of your beautiful daughter Louise. So utterly devastating for you all.How cruel and unfair to loose your child.I cannot think of anything worse than that.Absolutely gut wrenching.
Although we didnt know Louise that well,it was so nice to get a glimpse of your lovely girl when you came and stayed with us.
All our love, thoughts and prayers are with you.

It has been such a privilege to have Louise as our friend. Her welcoming smile and many generous thoughtful and kind actions along with Louises unconditional love and enthusiasm àre a true reflection of her home environment and awesome family_ be proud of the wonderful life you gave her and the beautiful person she was. We have many cherished memories(camping,Smores, Downtown Disney, girls shopping trips), along with photos and precious mementos from Louise that we treasure. We can't be physically with you to celebrate Louises life and farewell a true Princess so we are flying the American flag at half mast and are with you in spirit and our prayers. Louise is a very special angel, very much missed but never forgotten.

Please accept our sincere condolences at this very difficult time for you all. We are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.

‘Special” applies to someone who is admired and precious and who can never be replaced. Louise was "special" and gave love with a smile and kind gestures. We will never forget her.

We fondly recall many, many happy memories. We hope that there is Apples to Apples in heaven.

Dear Cathy, Phil and John.
Its so hard to believe that an angel that the Lord so generously lent to us for these past 27 years has been called home to be with Him. My deepest sympathy to you all. There will be a big hole in your heart and lives. I do hope the memories of all the joy and happiness Louise brought to all those she loved will in time bring you healing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God's blessings on each one of you. Maryanne

Louise brought so much joy to our families whenever we would get together. Her spirit was one of the kindest ever. No one enjoyed holidays more, and we wished we could have spent more of them together. One of our most favorite Louise Adventures has to be our boat ride on The Maid Of The Mist at Niagara Falls with Grandma Anne! Louise inspired us all to be better humans, and now that she has been given her Angel Wings, let's hope she is lifted by A Cool Breeze For Louise! We love you every day and forever!! Make sure those Petanque balls are ready when we get there one day, OK???!!! <3

Phil, Cathy and John. We know your loss will be tremendous as we certainly saw the absolute devotion to Louise you all had (from when we visited you in L.A. to your visits here in NZ) and a devotion that was reciprocated by Louise.
We can only express our sorrow and you can be absolutely sure we have you all in our thoughts and prayers.
We will miss Louise hugely: the wee surprise cards in the mail, the little presents, the Disney accessories (especially the headgear!!) decorations and most especially her visits here to rark us up over the placement of Christmas decorations. She loved the whole social vibe of extended family activity and we are going to miss all that. Mostly – We are going to miss that awesome smile. God bless you Louise.
