Linda I will miss you very much! You were very strong throughout your career with Probation, as one of my Deputies that I Supervised, and with your own battle that you fought everyday!! You are in peace now, and no more suffering. God has taken over now, and you can relax now.

Linda we talked about the first time we met in Probation over 15 years ago. The laughter, the comradrie, just getting to know each other. Many times passing the pod and always seeing your smile. So young back then with no cares of the future.
Camp Munz began amazing. A new type of Probation family atmosphere. Walking in the front door and seeing that smile. The barbeques, daily dorm, grind, upset or suicidal minor, the rush of a riot or restraints, the hurt and disappointment over the direction of the department, the pride in handling whatever we faced with our fellow coworkers.
Probation changed, as did we and it took greater strength. You were strong and always had your smile.
Our friendship stood the test of time. Both alone at home with medical needs we never missed a day to text or talk. We researched for William, you, and I. Most of all you were there for me and I wasn't so alone and you had me laughing. Thank you for your gift of genuiness, friendship, and your salvation. Thank you for remembering me when you were in decline and making sure I knew, you knew how amazing you are. It means a great deal to know you are not forgotten or alone in this world exspecially when the hard times seems to have no end. As I said the last day in the hospital, you made a immense positive difference in the lives of minors, fellow officers, support staff, friends, and in me that will never be forgotten. Amazing, strong, intelligent, big hearted Linda with the most beautiful smile. I miss you.

My Dearest Linda,
Words fall short of expressing the sorrow I am feeling.
Upon life’s reflection, the old phrase “Eat, Drink and Be Merry” comes to mind. And eat, drink and be merry was something that we did quite well together.
So, thank you. You leave me with a vast array of melodies filled with rich colorful musical notes that will forever sing in my heart.
In Deep Sorrow,
Lupe
P.S. Dear Family,
Laura Melendrez, Alice Melendrez, Louie Melendrez, Gerard Melendrez, Edward Melendrez, Ruben Melendrez, respected spouses, nieces, and nephews.
Across the miles, may the sweetest of cherished memories bring you moments of comfort and strength at a time when words fall short. So very sorry for your loss. With love and remembrance.
