James Edward McCarthy

July 22, 1939 – August 24, 2017

James Edward McCarthy was born in Galt, Ontario (Canada) on July 22, 1939 to John and Dorothy McCarthy, along with his one brother, Gary McCarthy. On December 28, 1963, he married the love of his life, Angie (Herrera) McCarthy whom he never stopped loving. He was a devoted and loving husband to Angie and their three children John, Kathy, and Danny McCarthy. James was an excellent example to all for dedication to marriage.

He was a long-time La Palma Little League Baseball coach, and taught all of his children how to play sports. James was also an excellent golfer; he lived for the game. He was a scratch golfer at Willow Wick and Anaheim Hills Golf Course. In 1994, he became the Needles California Golf Club Champion. He enjoyed sharing and teaching others, including his children and grandchildren, the joy of golf.

James is survived by his wife Angie McCarthy (77), his three children John McCarthy (52), Kathy (McCarthy) Willahan (51), and Danny McCarthy (48), and his nine grandchildren. We love and miss you.
