Edwin Clemens Bonnarens

Deacon Edwin Bonnarens

Born August 27, 1939 at Sigourney, Iowa. Graduated from high school in 1957. Served in the U.S. Army 1957-1960. Married JoAnn Johnson February 8, 1964. (JoAnn died on Easter Sunday 2012 of heart failure. They had no children, but cared for many.) Worked in construction as heavy equipment mechanic until 2002. Ordained August 9, 1986 in the diocese of Jefferson City, Missouri. Served at St. Ann's in Warsaw, Missouri for 2 years before moving to Kansas City, Missouri where he served at St. John Francis Regis parish through 2002. Moved to Fairmont, Minnesota where he served at St. John Vianney parish Fairmont and Holy Family parish East Chain, Minnesota from January 2003 until December 2014. His main ministry was helping his widowed (older) sister Barbara Ann Flammang.
